Blessed in His Name halaqa was something I always looked forward to on my Tuesdays. It was a break from school life where I could focus on improving my deen and relationship with Allah swt. Brother Tarif would somehow always say the things I really needed to hear that week, which would allow me to have a reality check with myself, and it was those checks that encouraged me to keep coming back every week. Blessed in His Name taught me a lot about dhikhr and the importance of it, and how simple and easy it can be and should be. Alhamdulillah, I’ve been able to start my journey on learning dhikhr and trying to remember Allah swt anywhere and everywhere. The halaqa taught me a lot about how a person can change based on the little changes they make in their life, and Alhamdulillah, it did just that for me. Although I still struggle with my deen from time to time, I know now that trying and making an effort at remembering Allah swt and his mercy and having full trust in him is so important in our daily lives and increasing them. InshAllah I’m excited to go to the next halaqa series and learn even more from brother Tarif.
